Who we are

We're The Siargao Loop, operated by Jon Christoffer Obice, Siargao Island, Philippines. We run this website, SiargaoLoop.com, and we run the tours. There's no third party in between. When this policy says "we" or "us", that's who we mean. Questions about your data: support@siargaoloop.com.

What we collect

When you submit a booking request, we collect the lead booker's name, email address and WhatsApp number; each rider's name and nationality; your departure date, group size, accommodation and motorbike preferences, any dietary requirements you tell us, how you heard about us, and anything you write in the notes field. We also keep a record of your booking reference, total and payment status.

What we use it for

To handle your booking, send you trip details and logistics by WhatsApp and email, plan meals and accommodation, and keep our own records of who rode with us and when. We don't use your details for marketing: no newsletter, no promotional emails. Once your trip is done, we leave you alone.

Payments

We don't take card details on this website. You pay the total shown at booking time through the PayPal payment buttons on the booking page. Your card or account details are handled entirely by PayPal, we never see or store them. We only see that a payment was made, and for how much. Where a double room is requested, that fee is paid in cash at the homestay once we confirm it. See PayPal's privacy policy at paypal.com for how they handle your data.

Where we keep it

Your booking details are stored in Google Workspace (Sheets and email), which we use to run the business. We keep booking records for as long as we need them for our own accounting and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

Only what's necessary to run your trip: your first name and group size with the homestay we're staying at, and dietary requirements with whoever's cooking. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't do anything with it you'd find surprising.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@siargaoloop.com and we'll sort it out. Note that we may need to keep basic booking records for tax purposes even after you ask us to delete the rest.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
