Terms of Service

The Siargao Loop · Last updated October 2026

These Terms apply to all bookings made through SiargaoLoop.com. By making a booking, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

The Siargao Loop is operated by Jon Christoffer Obice, Siargao Island, Philippines ("we", "us", "the Operator"). We run this website and we run the tours. When you book, your contract is with us.

2. The tours

We operate, lead and supervise the tours, including route, pace and on-tour decisions. The Loop is a self-drive motorbike tour: you ride your own motorbike in a convoy that we lead. We are guides, not chauffeurs, and we do not ride your motorbike for you.

3. Motorbikes and equipment

Most riders bring their own motorbike. If you ask us to arrange one, we will put you in touch with, or book on your behalf from, an independent local rental business. That motorbike is supplied by that rental business, not by us, and any rental contract is between you and them. We do not manufacture, inspect, maintain or warrant any motorbike, helmet or safety equipment, whether it is yours or arranged through us. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that your motorbike and equipment are roadworthy, legal and suitable for you before you ride.

4. Who can take part

Every participant must be at least 18 years old, legally entitled to ride a motorbike, physically fit to ride for two days over rough and unsealed roads, and a confident motorbike rider. You confirm this for everyone in your booking when you book. We may refuse participation, at the meeting point or during the tour, to anyone we reasonably judge unfit or unsafe to ride, including through alcohol or drugs. No refund is due in that case.

5. Assumption of risk

Motorbike riding is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. The route includes rough, unsealed and remote sections, water, caves, rock and open sea, far from medical facilities. You take part voluntarily, with knowledge of these risks, and you accept them for yourself. Each participant must also accept our Rider Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk before riding.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, we are not liable for any personal injury, death, loss or damage arising from your own riding, your own motorbike or equipment, your own decisions or conduct, the acts or omissions of other participants, or the acts or omissions of any independent third party such as a rental business, homestay or site operator. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence or for fraud. Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the booking.

7. No safety warranty

We make no representation or warranty that the tour, or any motorbike or equipment, is safe or suitable for any particular individual. Each participant decides for themselves whether to take part.

8. Bookings and payment

You book by filling in the form on this site and paying the total shown through the PayPal payment buttons. Your spot is confirmed once payment is received. Prices are per person in Philippine pesos. Where a double room or a rental motorbike is requested, that is a request subject to availability and confirmed by us, and may change the total. A double room is not charged online: if we confirm it, the fee is paid in cash at the homestay.

9. Cancellations and changes

Cancel 72 or more hours before your departure date for a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours of the departure date are non-refundable, because accommodation and site fees are committed by then. If we cancel or materially change a departure, including for weather or conditions that make the route unsafe, you may move to another date or receive a full refund. We are not responsible for your other travel costs.

10. Your conduct

You must follow reasonable safety instructions from your guide, ride within your ability and within the law, and not endanger yourself or others. We may remove anyone from the tour who does not, without refund.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes will be dealt with in the courts of the Philippines.
